However, the aspect of its juicing abilities that I find most convenient is the medium-coarse screen that is provided. Most masticating juicers come with a fine screen and a thicker screen can be purchased in an upgraded version or as an accessory. The issue here is that the fine screens don't work that well with pulpy fruits (like citrus or melons or tomatoes) and can get clogged and require cleaning in the middle of juicing. Often, the thick screens result in more pulp than desired for other fruits. So sometimes you will have to change screens for one recipe! However, the Samson 9001 comes with a medium-level screen that works great with everything. You can juice citrus, tomatoes and all the hard fruits and veggies you want without having to change the screen!
