Wheatgrass Juice Using the Green Star 1000 Juicer
Wheatgrass is truly an incredible plant! It is full of so many beneficial vitamins and nutrients that it’s surprising they are all coming from one strand of grass. The high levels of chlorophyll in wheatgrass can severely improve blood health. Additionally, it is extremely high in cleansing minerals and vitamins such as Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. All of these things can play a big role in strengthening your immune system, which is always good for your health. Finally, it helps to build proteins in your body because it is rich in Amino Acids. It still amazes me how this little plant to do so many great things for your overall heath. I would highly recommend drinking some wheatgrass on a daily basis.
Going to a juice bar daily can get expensive so lots of people have made the wise choice to juice at home. Aside from the cost advantages, juicing at home can also be much healthier for you. You know where the produce is coming from, but you also get to choose what type of juicer you use and the speed at which it operates. Lots of juice bar juicers are not cold-press juicers because the slower speed would result in line ups. However, to a home juicer, that little bit of extra time is well worth the added benefits of avoiding oxidation and therefore preserving valuable enzymes.
If you’d like to juice wheatgrass at home, you will need to make sure that you’re using a wheatgrass juicer. Centrifugal juicers simply won’t be able to extract juice from wheatgrass, and not all masticating juicers can do it either. If you are going to make a purchase, I would suggest looking for a cold-press masticating juicer (motor speed between 80 RPM and 200 RPM).

Ingredients:
- 1 cucumber
- 1 handful of sunflower sprouts
- 1 handful of buckwheat sprouts
- 1 handful of clover sprouts
Instructions
- Clean the produce and cut up the cucumber until it is small enough for your juicer.
- Feed the sprouts through and alternate between adding some cucumber.
- Drink immediately!
Serves: 1
