People often ask me “What is the best juicer to buy”. Well, that’s a very difficult question to answer because the best juicer for each individual person will vary depending on that person’s price range and juicing desires. Someone who hates greens is not going to need to spend the extra money on a wheatgrass juicer… I think you get the point! I don’t know about you guys, but I always used to get really excited on field trips when we’d go to factories and get to see all the little mechanical pieces that went into some big crazy process that made something. The candy factories were always my favorite

Run it under the tap and everything washes away in seconds. The only part that requires scrubbing is the screen (but every juicer with a screen requires that you scrub the screen). A nice scrubbing brush is included to help you clean it efficiently and then you’re all done! Poof! It’s that simple! I’d say this is the number 1 reason why you should buy a Samson!
Efficiently Juices All Types of Fruits, Veggies and Leafy Greens!
As previously stated, this juicer is so great at what it does, it can even juice aloe and pine needles (but I personally have never wanted to juice pine needles). The point being, it’s very good at what it does. As you can imagine, if it can juice pine needles, it does an excellent job with wheatgrass. However, the aspect of its juicing abilities that I find most convenient is the medium-coarse screen that is provided. Most masticating juicers come with a fine screen and a thicker screen can be purchased in an upgraded version or as an accessory. The issue here is that the fine screens don’t work that well with pulpy fruits (like citrus or melons or tomatoes) and can get clogged and require cleaning in the middle of juicing. Often, the thick screens result in more pulp than desired for other fruits. So sometimes you will have to change screens for one recipe! However, the Samson 9001 comes with a medium-level screen that works great with everything. You can juice citrus, tomatoes and all the hard fruits and veggies you want without having to change the screen! Once again, the people at Samson were really thinking when they decided on that aspect!
Finally, the machine runs at a rather quiet speed (much more quiet than centrifugal juicers!). And the chamber that holds the auger is clear so you can watch the juicing process as it happens, which I find really cool! So, all in all, I think the Samson GB-9001 is an incredible juicer choice because:

Omega 8003/8005 Juicer Review
The Omega 8003/8005 Juicer is definitely the best wheatgrass juicer around that I could find for under $300! When it runs, its surprisingly quiet. That’s because the gears are made in a special way that allows them to somehow float, which means minimal humming. When I juice fruits and vegetables, I can tell it’s doing a really good job because the pulp always comes out super dry. It makes dry pulp with greens and wheatgrass too. One downside to it though, is that it can clog up soft or pulpy fruits (like oranges). However, that seems to be a common shortcoming of masticating juicers. If you want to juice lots of citrus or pulpy fruit, you should probably just buy yourself a little citrus juicer. They’re not that expensive! Masticating juicers do require some more time for juicing- they run at slower speeds and don’t have dishwasher-safe parts, so they need to be cleaned by hand. HOWEVER, if you have the time, cleaning them is really no harder than cleaning a blender, and the health benefits are excellent! Technically, the Omega 8003 and Omega 8005 juicers are considered cold-press juicers, which make the healthiest juice. That’s because the motor runs at 80 RPMs. According to experts, that speed is slow enough that it doesn’t heat up the juice while it’s being made and therefore preserves all the healthy stuff! Honestly, I’ve actually compared juice that was made from a centrifugal juicer and my Omega 8005 juicer and the juice from the definitely tasted better! Another cool part about the Omega 8003/8005 juicers(and all masticating juicers with a blank screen) is that they can be used as a food processor. I just made my very own Almond and Peanut Butter mixture and it’s delicious! I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something about eating food that I’ve actually made myself that makes me enjoy it so much more! It’s so delicious! I’ve been eating it with breakfast and as part of a snack (with apples) every day for the past few days! I’m think I will need to make more soon, but it’s so easy I really don’t care! Champion Household Juicer Review
The Champion 2000+ Household Juicer is a great juicer that fits somewhere between a centrifugal juicer and a wheatgrass juicer, on several respects. I say this because it is a masticating juicer, but it still runs at high RPMs and it is not suitable for wheatgrass, which is uncommon. Usually, mastication juicers are targeted at the more health-nut segment who care to put in the extra time that these juicers require for the added nutritional benefits. However, by running the juicer at 1725 RPMs, Champion has managed to target some consumers who are floating in the middle ground.
A faster speed means less nutrition than cold-press mastication juicers (often designed for wheatgrass), but it also means faster juicing. Additionally, 1725 RPMs is still significantly slower than the whopping 10,000+ RPMs that several centrifugal juicers run at, meaning much more nutritional content. Finally, although it may seem a bit strange not to design the Champion juicer with wheatgrass capabilities (since it is a masticating juicer), I think it is a fair trade off when you consider the price. For what they offer, these juicers are extremely affordable!
Pros and Cons of the Champion Juicer
The Champion Juicer is definitely a user-friendly juicer! Assembly and disassembly of this product is very straight forward. There aren’t very many parts for you to play around with, just a few simple, intuitive steps and you’re done! Although the body is made of metal, it is surprisingly easy to lift, and the metal aspect makes cleaning the body very easy. As an added bonus, the manual comes with a bunch of free recipes- and not just juicing recipes! There are some great juice, nut butter, sorbet, smoothie and sauce recipes to help get your creative juices flowing!
However, this juicer is not perfect and therefore has some shortcomings. Like all masticating juicers, the parts are not dishwasher safe, so you have to clean them by hand after every use. This is not very difficult, but a cleaning brush for the screen is not provided, which is strange. The fine screen collects pulp after juicing and is very difficult to clean without some form of a brush. The good news is, a cleaning brush is very easy to find!
Champion Juicer Operation
The Champion Juicer works very well with hard fruits and vegetables! It produces a nice dry pulp, which means it has successfully extracted lots of juice from the fruit. The feed chute is 1.75″ in diameter, which means you do have to cut up your fruit in small sizes before juicing. However, if you are going to use a masticating juicer, you should be prepared for a longer juicing process anyway. The small sizes actually help the juicer to juice the fruits much faster than if you were to try to use large chunks. I guess it’s Champion’s way of doing you a favor!
Since the juicer runs at high speeds, it is louder than most other masticating juicers. However, as previously stated, the higher speed means faster juicing- definitely a worthy trade-off in some people’s eyes. Since the juicer uses a fine screen, it also does not work too well with soft fruits like oranges. However, this is a common shortcoming of masticating juicers. And finally, since it is not designed for wheatgrass, it really does not work very well with tough leafy greens. Very little yield is produced. Despite these few shortcomings, I still feel that the Champion 2000+ Household Juicer is an excellent juicer! It has a lot to offer for such an affordable price!
