I just started a 3 day juice fast. It's my very first juice fast! All it really consists of is "eating" only juice all day long for 3 days. You want to keep the juice to mostly vegetable juice and drink no more than 4 oz of fruit juice per day. This is because the fruit juice is high in fructose (natural fruit sugar) which will create cravings and make things harder. Additionally, the vegetable juices help alkalinize your body and help cleanse out toxins. Additionally, you always want to make sure you drink a lot of water throughout the day. It's extremely important to stay hydrated. When attempting to fast or cleanse, it's also a good idea to add some fiber bulking agents to your juice. These help activate your digestive system and therefore help cleanse out the body, but they also help to avoid cravings that can occur. Psyllium husk powder (it's better to get the psyllium husk powder, and not just psyllium powder because plain psyllium powder can dry out the colon), pectin and bentonite clay are great things to add to your juices.
